Another pair of mittens finished today … photos to follow !
Next weekend we are opening our doors, come and see all the original alpaca gifts available, from as little as 50p, produced from fibre from our own alpacas. Gift vouchers, many knitted items, socks, teddies, mitts, etc, or buy someone a voucher for a course to learn to spin or weave! Open 10 to 4 both days or call for visits at other times 07788671194 or directions. Signposted from the A38 in Lower Weare. Mince pies and mulled wine for the Christmas feeling!! Hope to see you there.
We’ll have a stall at the Somerset Fayre Market in Axbridge on Saturday 24th August. The weather forecast is good, so we hope to see lots of people there. As usual, Pat has been busily making all sorts of lovely things from our alpaca fibre. Here are just a few of the new lines …
… I guess maybe it’s the wrong time to be showing off this lovely neck-warmer ! As usual, this very stylish item is hand-knitted from our own alpaca fibre. It is 100% natural, with no dyes having been added.
How’s this for a lovely little pullover ? All natural colours (no dyes), and all made from 100% Somerset alpaca yarn. Hand-knitted by the boss !
And this lovely hand woven scarf, made from 100% natural Somerset alpaca fibre (no dyes) won a second place rosette at the British Alpaca Futurity last weekend …
We seem to be suffering a cold wet winter, but here’s something to make you snug and warm – a hand-knitted scarf made from 100% pure Somerset alpaca yarn in totally natural colours. Alpaca fibre is wonderfully soft and doesn’t scratch or irritate like sheepswool, so you can wear it comfortably next to your skin.
Here’s a lovely new product from Blacklands Alpacas – an elegant shoulder bag. As usual, it’s made from 100% natural Somerset alpaca yarn, hand-knitted and undyed.
Way back last September we showed off our little baby booties, and I’ve just realised that I hadn’t shown the finished pair. So here they are !
